At present there are no charges

2)How do I login to Internet banking?

1. Please enter www.lvbank.com to enter our Bank’s website.
2. Under Internet banking icon on the right side, please click 'Retail' or ‘Corporate’ for logging into Retail or Corporate Net banking module respectively. A login screen will appear.
3. Under Login ID, please enter your login ID given by your branch.
4. Under Password, please enter the login password and click on “Submit” button
5. For enhanced security you can use the Virtual Keyboard to enter the Login Id and password. Usage of Virtual keyboard reduces the risk of password theft.

3)I am able to login successfully and able to see the account summary. But I am not able to get any details from the account and not able to see statement of account for my Savings account?

Please inquire from your branch whether they have enabled your account for Internet Banking. Once it is enabled you will be able to see the Statement of Account, etc.

4)How do I get my Statement of Account?

  • Click on the option ‘Account Activity’.
When this Option is clicked, there are three sub-options as
Mini Statement ( last 10 Transactions during the last one year)
  • Specified Period and
  • Amount
When ‘Specified Period’ (sub-option b) is selected, you can specify the period for which you need the account statement. After entering the dates in the format dd/mm/yyyy, please click on GO.
Statements can be generated in ascending or descending order by selecting the desired option.
Please note that you can get account statement for a maximum period of one year only from the current date

5)I am not able to view the screen completely and not able to scroll the screen up / down and left / right etc.?

Please change your monitor resolution settings to 1024 * 768. This is the best display setting for Internet Banking.

6)What is the use of my Transaction Password? (TPIN)

When you perform a financial transaction like Demand Draft Request, Funds Transfer, etc. the system will prompt you to authenticate the Transaction using Transaction Password. Unless you authenticate the Transaction using your Transaction Password, the Transaction will not get through. These options will be available only if the feature is enabled by the bank.

7)What is 128-bit (SSL) Secure Socket Layer?

SSL stands for "Secure Socket Layer". It is a protocol designed to enable applications to transmit information back and forth securely. Applications that use this protocol inherently know how to share encryption keys with other applications, as well as how to encrypt and decrypt data. SSL has been universally accepted as an authenticated and encrypted communication between the Customer's computer and the Service Provider’s servers over the World Wide Web.
Some of the applications that are configured to communicate over the SSL include web browsers like Internet Explorer and Netscape, email programs like GroupWise, Outlook, and Outlook Express, FTP (file transfer protocol) programs, etc. These programs are automatically enabled to establish SSL connections.

8)How to know whether a web page is secured one?

There are two general indications of a secured web page:
1. Check the web page URL
Normally, when browsing the web, the URLs (web page addresses) begin with the letters "http://". However, over a secure connection the address displayed would begin with "https://" instead of “http://’.
2. Check for the icon at the bottom right hand corner of the browser which is shaped like a padlock
Click (or double-click) on it to see the Certificate Information. Below is an example of a Certificate issued to www.lvbankonline.in (Lakshmi Vilas Bank Ltd) by VeriSign:

9)How is my information transmitted safely over the Internet?

Web browsers use standard security protocols like SSL, and S-HTTP to enable private information to be transmitted safely over the Internet in an encrypted form. When you visit a Web site with the SSL protocol implemented, a secure connection is established between your computer and the Web site server you are visiting. Once this connection is established, all information going out of your computer will be in an encrypted form which can only be decrypted by the receiving server.

10)Can other people view my information when I am using the Internet?

If a secure session is established and the information is encrypted during transmission, then others will not be able to read your information.
However, some Web browsers will store information on your computer even after you are finished with your online activities, this is called caching. Hence it is highly recommended that you should close the browser after visiting any secure site to conduct financial transactions like funds transfer, online trading, enquiry of balance etc. so that the cached information is released.
