  FAQ SMS banking

 

 

Q.1 What is the procedure for availing SMS banking?

 

You can avail this facility by submitting a simple registration form to our branch.

 

Q.2. What are the charges for SMS Banking?

 

You can avail this facility with the following service charges,

Registration Fee: The one time registration fee of Rs. 100 will be debited from the account of the customer, on activation of SMS Banking facility.

Annual Fee: Customer will have to pay an annual fee of Rs. 100/ - ; which will be debited from the customers account at quarterly rest (@ Rs. 25/- per quarter).

 

Q.3. What are the services available under SMS Banking?

 

With SMS Banking , you can avail two types of services,

SMS Push Service:

  • Daily balance alerts
  • Alert on any debit transactions of Rs.5,000/- and above. *
  • Alert on any credit transactions of RS.5,000/- and Above.*
  • OVERLINE / TOD Alerts.


SMS Pull Service:

  • Registration for Mobile Banking**
  • Facility to change the Default account.
  • Account Balance Details(account attached to the respective CIF ID)
  • Account Activity(Last 5 Transactions for default account)
  • Account Activity (Last 5 Transaction for other accounts)
  • Cheque status enquiry
  • Fixed Deposit Details
  • Change Default account
  • De Registration

    ** Initially the user has to submit a form for registering his mobile number with the bank, before activating the mobile banking services.
 

Q.4.To which number shall the SMS be sent in case of SMS pull services?

 

You should send the SMS in the specified format to 56070, to avail the following pull services,

  • Registration for Mobile Banking**
  • Facility to change the Default account.
  • Account Balance Details(account attached to the respective CIF ID)
  • Account Activity(Last 5 Transactions for default account)
  • Account Activity (Last 5 Transaction for other accounts)
  • Cheque status enquiry
  • Fixed Deposit Details
  • Change Default account
  • De Registration

Q.6. How to De-activate the facility?

 

You can de-activate the facility by sending SMS in the format”LVB DEL <customer id>” to 56070.
For ex. A customer with customer id 123456 can de-activate by sending the SMS “LVB DEL 123456” to 56070.

 

Q.7. What is the frequency of SMS alerts?

Alert on any Debit/Credit of Rs.5000 and above
As and when the transaction takes place
Overline/TOD Alerts
As and when the activity happens
 

Q.8. What is the procedure to be adopted, if the mobile phone is lost?

 

The user/customer has to report the loss of phone to branches.
